We're a remote team. Physical conferences never worked for us.
Our team is spread across South Africa, India, Argentina, the US, Austria, and Poland. Attending a physical conference as a full team was never possible. The logistics, the cost, the visas. So we asked a simple question: why should any team in staffing face that same barrier?
That's how the World Staffing Summit started. Not as a marketing play, but as the online staffing conference we wished existed. One where geography doesn't determine who gets access to the best thinking in the industry.

2020
Started during a global lockdown
The staffing industry lost its biggest gathering points overnight. We built a virtual stage and invited the industry to show up. They did.
2021
The community grew, so did the format
50 speakers across panels, fireside chats, and workshops. What started as a stopgap became something the industry wanted to keep.
2022
Launched the World Staffing Awards
Three categories: Best Staffing Companies, Top Leaders, Top Recruiters. 184 speakers that year. The summit became a year-round platform.
2023
Built the on-demand library
Every session from every edition, tagged and searchable. 149 sessions and growing, a permanent resource for the profession.
2024

Started by three people who believed staffing deserved a better conference.
The World Staffing Summit was founded by Daniel Bartakovics, Benjamin Bartakovics, and Jan Jedlinski. Their shared conviction: the staffing industry needed a conference that matched how the industry actually works: distributed, global, and always on.
Daniel and Benjamin grew up in the staffing industry, watching how disconnected the profession's knowledge-sharing was from its day-to-day reality. Jan brought deep expertise in staffing technology and community building. Together, they created a platform where the industry could learn from itself, not just from vendors on a stage.

We don't moderate every panel ourselves
We deliberately invite moderators and panelists from across the staffing industry. Not just the Candidately team. Our sessions feature leaders from the largest staffing firms, technology providers, boutique agency owners, and independent recruiters. This diversity of perspective is what makes every session worth watching.
Because when a panel is moderated by someone who runs a 500-person desk, the questions are different. When a technology provider debates an enterprise operator, the insights go deeper. We want those conversations, the ones that happen in hallways at physical conferences, available to everyone.
