Interview with Christine Doran

Over the last several years, we’ve seen significant growth at KP Staffing, and I think that’s because of the impressive dedication and passion our team brings to the table – if you ask anyone at KP, or our partners, what sets us apart, they’ll tell you it’s that we really see each person who comes through our doors – whether they’re a client or a job seeker – as an individual, not just a number, and we make sure we structure our staffing approach to their specific needs. I want to make sure we continue to structure our processes, content, and technology around the people who lean on us; so I want to look deeper into market research and really make sure we have the data we need to create relevant materials. From our emails to our social media to our website to our ATS, I want to make sure we’re optimized to handle our growing base of partners.
I think in a rapidly changing world, and industry, technology is clearly at the forefront of change. However, it’s important to approach it with intentionality, and make sure we’re maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of each piece of tech we add to our stack. More isn’t better if more is spreading your message thin – in fact, more tech without the planning and follow-through needed will probably hurt your brand more than help your growth (e.g., the emails we’ve all received after asking to be removed from a mailing list 100 times). Tech will continue to offer huge opportunities for the staffing industry, and I think that by approaching each new addition or innovation with intention, staffing companies will be better suited to take advantage of those possibilities.
We’re expected, more and more, to provide much more extensive resources and reporting for clients. We’ve noticed this trend growing over the past few years, and I think it’ll just continue – if we want to stay ahead of competitors, we’re going to have to view ourselves as an extension of our clients’ teams and make sure we’re providing them with the resources they need.
Yes, I think nearly everyone in the staffing industry has had to shift focus toward clients, and I expect that to continue throughout 2023.
